Conference Facilities and Services

The 1st International Conference Europe in Discourse: Identity, Diversity, Borders will be held at two venues: Hellenic American College located at Massalias 22, and the French Institute of Athens at Sina 31. The venues are a two-minute walk apart.


Registration & Info Desk

Hellenic American College will serve as the main meeting point for delegates during the registration. Registration will be available during the following hours:

Friday, September 23rd: 07:45 – 17:00

Saturday, September 24th: 08:00 – 18:00

The registration desk will also serve as the main info desk for the Conference where delegates can receive information about the program, the conference dinner, the library and other facilities. The Info Desk will be staffed throughout the Conference, including Sunday.


Plenary Sessions

Plenary sessions will take place at the French Institute of Athens in the Theo Angelopoulos Auditorium


Parallel Sessions and Panels

Parallel sessions and panels will take place at both Hellenic American College and the French Institute of Athens.

The following rooms are in the Hellenic American College building:

  • 304-305 – 3rd floor
  • 306-307 – 3rd floor
  • 308-309 – 3rd floor
  • 504-505 – 5th floor
  • 506-507 – 5th floor
  • Seminar room 4th floor
  • Seminar room 6th floor

The Gisèle Vivier and Roger Milliex Rooms are located in the French Institute of Athens.

Please note that drinking and eating is not allowed in Conference rooms.


Library, Media Center, Computers and Printing Facilities

The library at Hellenic American College will serve as a reading space for delegates and media center. You can visit our library and use computers to make last-minute changes to your presentations as well as print any material (fees applicable). The library will remain open during the following days and times:

  • Friday-23rd: 11:00-18:00
  • Saturday-24th: 11:00-18:00
  • Sunday: Closed



During the days of the Conference, lunch and coffee breaks will be served at the French Institute of Athens.



Restrooms are located on every floor of Hellenic American College while the 5th floor has restrooms for people with disabilities.
